96 Million Balls, Eric Garcetti, Is Taking an Innovative Route to Alleviate the Drought

As you might already be aware if you reside in the Los Angeles area, the quality of the water in the reservoiris not A+. This is quite unfortunate, but it’s very true. Thankfully, we have a mayor who’s taking matters into his own hands looking for innovative ways to solve any issue present in this beautiful city.

Los Angeles mayor, Eric Garcetti, came up with a solution in order to protect water from wind-blown dust and rain, deterring birds and other wildlife, and prevent sunlight-triggered chemical reactions: ninety-six million black balls. Yes . . . balls. That’s the solution
Every one of them costs $0.36 USD. They are specifically designed to cover a grand percentage of the surface of the water. They act as a nice shade to aid with preventing evaporation and preventing the formation of algae.

The total price of this solution is $24 million USD dollars, and it’s still the cheapest option available on the table, which is why it has already been put into practice. Only time will tell if it was the best solution to solve this issue. Please share this info with others.
