I’m sure everyone loves to have a clean kitchen. Though that is the case, no one enjoys the cleaning after a big meals has been prepared – imagine ensuring the stove top and the counters are in the perfect condition. Cabinet fronts are also another area that is problematic to clean –they are normally so sticky. Whenever they have been neglected for a long time as a result of food splatters or formers tenants who never cared for them, it is a difficult task to restore them to their former state for people like me who always don’t love using abrasive cleaners.
Courtesy of One Good Thing by Jillee, our resourceful cleaning maven, we have an easy solution for that. She discovered that using oil is the best way to clan those oil-splattered and greasy cabinets. Her solution makes use of two ingredients:
- Baking soda (2 parts)
- Vegetable oil (1 part)

With the use of a spin, the two ingredients are mixes and then an old toothbrush, sponge or hands can be used to clean the cabinet doors. Do it on all cabinets until they are shining again. You will surely be surprised by the end result!
