Even though they say that spaghetti is food for the Italians, I am sure that everybody likes it a great deal. In the recipe below, we will be learning of a new method of cooking spaghetti that will leave you craving for more. The recipe tutorial is brought to us by Martha Stewart’s Everyday Food with Sarah Carey.
The ingredients needed are:
- 3/4 pound fresh mozzarella, cut into 1/2-inch pieces (2 1/2 cups)
- 3/4 pound spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, smashed and peeled
- 2 cups packed basil leaves (from 1 bunch),
- Two 28-ounce cans whole peeled tomatoes
- Coarse salt

To prepare, you first:
- Add spaghetti to boiling water and leave to cook until al dente.
- Meanwhile, make the sauce by heating two spoons of olive oil in a saucepan together with chopped garlic until it turn to golden brown. Add the two cans of whole peeled tomatoes, pepper and salt then stir. And leave to cook for about 12 minutes.
- Pour the water from the spaghetti and then pour the sauce in the pot containing the spaghetti and then the basil leaves and mix.
- Add a half of the cut mozzarella into the pot and let it for some minutes.
- Transfer the spaghetti from the cooking pot to the baking tray and top it with the remaining mozzarella.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until it turns into golden brown and it is ready for eating!
