Ingredients:
Diced onion (1 cup)
Chicken breast (1- ½ Ib)
Uncooked basmati rice (1/2 cup)
Uncooked wild rice (1/2 cup)
1-2 bay leaves
Minced garlic (4 -5 cloves)
Diced celery (3/4 cup)
Diced carrot (1 cup)
2 tap. Salt
Black pepper (1-1/2 tsp.)
Italian seasoning (1 tbsp.)
2 cups water
Low sodium chicken broth (6 cups)
Whole milk (2 cups)
All-purpose flour (1/2 cup)
5 tbsp. butter

Instructions:
The rice is rinsed under running water. Place chicken breast, pepper, salt, Italian seasoning, water, chicken broth, uncooked rice, bay leaf, garlic, celery, carrots, chicken breast and onions in a 5-½ qt. slow cooker. It is then cooked (on high) while covered for 4 hours or alternatively for 7-8 hours (on low.) The chicken is removed from the pot (at the last 30 minutes of its cooking.) It is then shred using two forks after it has slightly cooled.

The chicken is then placed in the slow cooker, keep on cooking the vegetables. Use a small saucepan to melt the butter.

Flour is added and cooked for 1 minutes. The mixture is then whisked slowly while adding milk. The whisking should continue until all lumps are removed and until the sauce thicken and becomes creamy.
Bechemel sauce is added into the slow cooker and then stirred to mix. Pepper and salt are adjusted by seasoning. It is left to sit for 5 minutes, the soup also thicken while it stands.
