During last week’s pandemic, Brad Pitt helped those in need by delivering boxes of goods to low-income families at a housing project in Los Angeles.

According to the Daily Mail, the 56-year-old actor was spotted handing out boxes of groceries to people in need and driving a food delivery truck.

Not many people realized they were in the presence of an Oscar winner because Pitt wore a face mask and a relatively casual wardrobe of jeans and flannel.

According to an eyewitness, Pete was constantly busy unloading goods and delivering them to people in long lines.

“Brad seemed like a hero.” The man didn’t stop all day. “The fact that he was driving a huge truck in south LA during the COVID times was amazing,” a source told the Daily Mail. “You can see he was really loyal; it wasn’t just about his appearance and his face.”

“His heart was in it, and it was simply a hats-off moment,” the person continued.

The “Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood” performer is said to have worked for four hours straight, pausing only for a cigarette break before returning to work.

“It was Brad Pitt as you’ve never seen him, with his guard completely down, smiling, joking, and conversing,” the person said, adding, “He was getting more boxes than anyone else and then hauling perhaps six boxes at a time on a cart.”

He even got into the truck, took out speakers, and blasted happy tunes from his iPhone at one point. The actor also had a visit from his pal Thomas Houseago, whom he was “obviously pleased to see,” according to the source.

Pitt also took a coffee break on the back of the truck with a brunette volunteer.

“They probably sat there for about 20 minutes laughing and chatting while he smoked another cigarette and they sipped their drinks,” the person said.

Throughout the day, the movie star was exceedingly down-to-earth, even eating his lunch of scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes from a to-go container with plastic silverware.

“There was no swagger,” the insider said, adding, “You could see he was doing it for self-satisfaction. It wasn’t for glory.” He appeared to be completely at ease.”

Pitt made his first public appearance since his October split from model Nicole Poturalski.
