Averagely, a hundred million or more trees are always destroyed on a yearly basis with an aim of coming up with junk mail. On average, each person gets about forty one pounds every year. Surprisingly, more than half of this is thrown away without being read. Due these activities, about forty percent of this junk contribute to soil mass which adds to our landfills. It is evident that much of the junk mail that is sent on a particular day can have a severe environmental impact. The effect may even affect the future generations. Therefore, the attempt to stop junk mail is not yet a solution.

Instead of piling up the landfills all over the country, there are quite a number of solutions which can be employed to deal with such paper products.
