In a wooded irregular area of Estado de México of approximately 5,000 square-meter, there exists a building which its structure resembles a snake, something hard to believe in real life and easy at the same time in dreams.
This home was built by Javier Senosiain, a Mexican architect to resemble the feathered serpent of Meso-American mythology known as Quetzalcoatl. Initially, this project never aimed to honor the mythological creature but due to the finding of caves on the intended building site, the viewpoint of Senosiain changed. Surprising enough, only one cave was merged with the project as the serpent’s mouth due to its stability and Senosiain’s peculiar feeling that it looked alike. The rest of the structure resembles a snake in an in and out of the ground motion, so the architect added a tail then baptized it Quetzalcoatl.

Senosiain uses Organic Architecture principles to build where the structures are meant to intertwine with the topography. The architecture encourages those interacting with it to be nature consent with the environment and what surrounds it. The structures allow one to have the double feeling that he is walking in his home at the same time through a wonderful woodland.
