Why Purchase The Take Away Food When You Can Prepare A Pot Of Beef And Broccoli At Home?

The problem with us who live in the city is that we love take away foods because we think that it is very hard and time consuming to prepare one at home. The problem with this lifestyle is that most of the time the food gets cold and the quality will not be the same as when you take your time in preparing it yourself. In the tutorial below, we will be learning how to make a meal which is definitely delicious, healthy and faster to prepare.

The ingredients required are:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup beef stock/broth
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 lb broccoli florets
  • 1 lb beef strips, I used fajita style
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

The procedure involves:

  • Set the skillet in medium heat to heat the vegetable oil ten pour the broccoli florets and leave to cook for 3-4 minutes, till they become soft.
  • Cook the beef in a sauce pan until it is browned on both sides. Each side takes 2-3 minutes to brown
  • Mix sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, corn starch, and brown sugar, honey and beef broth together.
  • Add garlic to the pan and put on heat to cook for 30 minutes. Make sure you stir continuously before adding the soy sauce mixture into it then setting the heat to low
  • Leave to cook for 10 minutes till the beef is soft before adding the broccoli and leave it to cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!

  1. In a skillet on medium high heat the vegetable oil and cook the broccoli florets until slightly softened, about 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. While the beef is browning mix together the soy sauce, beef broth, corn starch, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil.
  4. Add the garlic to the pan and cook, stirring constantly for 30 seconds. Add the soy sauce mixture and turn heat down to medium.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes or until the broth has cooked down and the beef is cooked. Toss in the broccoli and cook for another 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
