I Watched Him Bury An Orange Into The Soot, The Outcome? So Delicious!

I grew up in a family that loved camping and hiking a lot. We lived at Palo Duro Canyon within Texas. We spent most of our weekends exploring various places and at night slept outside watching the stars. I have never stopped doing that, whenever I get an opportunity, I leave the city with all the necessities and go out to enjoy nature.

Though as a family, we were great campers, our cuisine wasn’t the best. It was what you might easily guess: some beans can, s’mores and some hot dogs. They could be spiced up by some fish if we were lucky to catch some.

Baking a cake was never considered while camping. Once I came across this YouTube video, I now have a simple way of making a cake. I’m not the skilled type when in the kitchen, but this campsite cake recipe is one I’m going to try!

You only need to combine the following when pre-preparing your batter as the first step:

Butter or olive oil (1 oz)

1 egg

1 oz cocoa

1.6 oz flour

3.4 oz sugar

The above ingredients are mixed and carried by the use of a Tupperware container. Taking along some toothpicks and an orange is necessary.

Watch the video below as a guide of knowing what should be done when at the campsite. I like it when I discover that a bowl is not needed is the orange peel is enough to serve the role.
